Transportation guide

Motorbike rental in Phu Quoc: ride only if prepared

A motorbike offers flexibility, but it is not the right choice for every visitor. Confirm that you can ride legally and confidently before comparing any rental.

Choose the safest setup

1

Automatic scooter

Common for short paved routes, but still requires the correct licence, insurance, and riding experience.

2

Larger motorbike

Only for riders experienced with the vehicle class and local road conditions.

3

Taxi or car instead

The better option for inexperienced riders, families, heavy luggage, rain, or travel after dark.

Check before accepting the motorbike

  • Confirm your licence and insurance cover the vehicle class.
  • Use a correctly fitting, good-condition helmet for every rider.
  • Test brakes, lights, indicators, horn, tyres, and mirrors.
  • Photograph existing damage and confirm fuel and return policies.
  • Save the rental contact and roadside-support details.

Weather and road caution

Heavy rain can reduce visibility and make sand, paint, metal covers, and rural roads slippery. Delay the ride or use a taxi when conditions are poor.
