Ha Tien to Phu Quoc Ferry: Tickets, Port and Arrival

Stay in Hà Tiên the night before for an unhurried morning: breakfast, a short road transfer and boarding. If arriving by overnight coach, read whether its stop is the bus station or the port. Those are different arrival points, and the ferry’s check-in allowance starts at the passenger terminal.

If your bus naturally ends at Rạch Giá, compare the extra road transfer before changing gateways. Hà Tiên’s lower reference fare and shorter crossing can help, but neither pays for an unnecessary detour. For someone who especially wants less time at sea, the detour may still be worthwhile; make that a conscious choice.

Phú Quốc Express identifies its Hà Tiên departure at the fast-ferry port on Kim Dự in the Tô Châu area. Superdong lists a ticket office at 11 Trần Hầu. Do not give the office address to the driver as if it were necessarily the boarding gate. Use the actual terminal on the issued journey.

Express asks for at least 45 minutes at the port. Add your transfer and breakfast before that time. For example, a 09:00 sailing means reaching the terminal by 08:15 under that instruction, then leaving your accommodation earlier still. This is easier than trying to fit the entire morning into the check-in window.

Express publishes Hà Tiên adult ECO at 216,000 VND, VIP at 330,000 VND, children aged 6–11 at 148,000 VND and an over-60 reference of 182,000 VND. Its under-six free category shares an adult’s seat. These are carrier-specific route references; they are not every operator’s child or seat rule.

Enter passenger names and identification as required by the booking form, then save the issued ticket. Superdong’s online page says seats are allocated from the available plan, so a group booking is not a promise of any particular row. If sitting together is important, resolve that with the office before completing the purchase.

Express says it accepts motorbikes by prior registration, but not cars on this passenger fast-ferry service. Its contact is 0901 868 878. Superdong also directs vehicle enquiries to ticket offices before online purchase. Agree the vehicle booking, loading instruction and collection at the other end as well as the people’s seats.

Keep valuables and documents with you, and carry a small bag for things you need during the crossing. For a rental motorbike, the owner’s permission to take it off the mainland matters separately from the carrier accepting it. Ordinary luggage and vehicle transport should not become one vague “included” line.

Tell the driver the named operator, sailing and Bãi Vòng arrival, then give the hotel entrance. Dương Đông, Ông Lang and the northern resort area require different onward trips from a south-island hotel. A transfer price without a destination is not useful for comparing the arrival budget.

If a shuttle is offered, read where it ends. A town drop and a private hotel transfer are different services. Send any sailing update to the pickup provider before departure, and agree how waiting works. That leaves you free to get off the boat and begin the holiday rather than negotiate the road leg on the pier.

We would use arrival day for checking in, lunch and a nearby beach or town walk. A fixed-time boat excursion or distant northern park immediately after the ferry gives the day little room to recover from a delay. Save the full attraction ticket for a day that starts on the island.

Superdong notes weather and tides can alter departures. Follow the selected carrier’s operating notice, then contact the issuer and hotel pickup if the sailing changes. The shorter Hà Tiên route is a time advantage, not a guarantee against motion or disruption.
