FERRY TICKET REFERENCE
Phu Quoc to Ha Tien Ferry: Bai Vong, Tickets and Connections
Leaving Phú Quốc is a different calculation from arriving. The hotel breakfast, the road to Bãi Vòng and the mainland journey all have to fit around the boat. Hà Tiên is a useful landing when it is where you want to continue, rather than simply the route with less time at sea.
Before choosing your ticket
Book Phú Quốc–Hà Tiên in that direction, leave from the Bãi Vòng terminal on your ticket and build the hotel transfer before the boarding allowance. Arrange a mainland coach around a realistic landing and port exit, rather than the fastest crossing alone.
The visible timetable is a dated operator reference. Mainland connection examples below are editorial planning suggestions.

Choose Hà Tiên for the onward mainland route
The best landing is the one that puts you in the right mainland place.
Hà Tiên makes sense when you want time in the town or are continuing through that part of the southwest. If the next booked coach or flight actually begins in Rạch Giá, compare a direct Rạch Giá sailing before committing to Hà Tiên merely for the shorter crossing. Avoid buying a sea saving and then paying it back on the road.
On your last island day, separate hotel checkout from boat departure. You may need to settle the bill, collect luggage and meet a car before starting the port journey. A late breakfast is pleasant when the sailing allows it, but should not consume the check-in time.
Work backwards from the terminal time
The port allowance begins after the hotel-to-Bãi Vòng journey.
For Express’s published 09:00 example, its 45-minute arrival instruction means reaching the port by 08:15. Ask your hotel or driver to calculate departure from your actual location before that point. A Bà Kèo stay and a far-north resort require different pickup times; do not apply one island-wide transfer duration.
Give the driver the carrier and terminal, not just “the ferry”. Keep the passenger ticket available while the bags are loaded, so a last-minute route or time mistake is caught at the hotel rather than on the pier. If carrying a motorbike, allow for its separate handling as well.
Read the return row, not the outbound timetable
Superdong and Express list different departure windows in the two directions.
Superdong’s general reference shows Phú Quốc–Hà Tiên at 08:00, 08:20, 09:45 and 13:00; Express’s route page shows 07:00, 09:00 and 14:00. These are published windows reviewed on 19 October, not a promise that every vessel has seats on your date. They help you compare a morning or afternoon departure.
For a return booking, match the direction, date, names and document details again even if the outward ticket was correct. A round-trip purchase can hold the journey together without meaning every leg has the same vessel, seat or cancellation rule. Keep both issued legs available offline.
Allow time to leave the port and find the coach
A boat landing is not yet arrival at the onward vehicle.
The mainland pickup may be at the port, an office or the bus station. Agree the actual stop with the coach company before purchasing a tight connection. Allow for passengers disembarking, collecting bags and meeting the driver, especially when several members of a family travel together.
We would leave a wide gap for a changeable coach, or stay in Hà Tiên when the next commitment is expensive to miss. A separate bus ticket is not a protected transfer simply because its departure appears after the ferry’s estimated arrival. Leave a meal break in the plan rather than a sprint between services.
Return the vehicle and documents with the group
A vehicle’s return space is separate from the passengers’ seats.
If you took a motorbike to the island, reserve its return handling instead of assuming the outward arrangement covers another date. Superdong asks vehicle passengers to contact its office before online purchase; Express also requires prior motorbike arrangement. Cars need a vehicle-ferry service, not this passenger fast-ferry ticket.
Keep the ticket and passenger identification in hand luggage. Put chargers, a light layer and items needed during the crossing in the same accessible bag. You should be able to present the documents without opening a large suitcase on the boarding route.
Keep one contact for the change, another for the pickup
A disrupted sailing affects both sides of the crossing.
Contact the ticket issuer first for a changed departure and tell the mainland pickup provider at once. Superdong’s published Hà Tiên office number is 0297 3955 933; Express lists 0901 868 878 for support. Use the company that actually issued your ticket rather than an unrelated seller with a similar name.
If no practical sailing remains, a further island night can be easier than chasing an unconfirmed connection. Update accommodation and onward tickets deliberately. The useful return plan is one that gets you to the next destination without relying on the fastest possible version of every leg.

Frequently asked questions
Answers about routes, ticket formats and using them during your visit.
Which Phú Quốc port does this journey use?
The named fast-ferry service leaves Bãi Vòng on the east coast. Use the carrier’s terminal on the issued ticket.
Can I reuse the Hà Tiên-to-island times?
No. Each direction has its own row and dated booking. The examples in this guide are specifically Phú Quốc to Hà Tiên.
When should the hotel car leave?
Work backwards from the port arrival requirement, then add the road journey from your exact hotel. For Express’s 09:00 example, the stated port time is at least 08:15.
Is a bus departing just after landing a good connection?
Allow time for disembarking, bags and reaching the actual bus stop. Choose a flexible later coach or a mainland night for a high-consequence onward journey.
Is my motorbike return automatic?
No. Arrange the return vehicle space and handling separately from the passenger seats, even if you booked the outward crossing together.
Who handles a ferry change?
The issuer of your ticket. Tell the mainland pickup provider as well, so it does not travel using the old arrival plan.
