Bars in Phu Quoc: Beach Tables, Rooftops and Island Drinks

Sailing Club Phu Quoc is at Lot B7 in the Bãi Trường complex, in the resort stretch south of the town-centre beach. Its operator publishes 06:30–22:00 opening. That all-day beach-club setting makes it a different proposition from a small pub whose main activity begins after dinner. The opening span alone does not promise a performance at every hour.

INK 360 is on the 19th floor of InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, also in the Bãi Trường resort area. The tentacle-like interior is Ashley Sutton’s design. The operator currently lists 17:00–23:00, subject to hotel operations. Save the resort entrance with the bar name rather than navigating to an arbitrary point on Long Beach.

The west coast gives the open-water sunset direction: Bãi Trường, Ông Lang and parts of the northwestern shore. An east-coast bar can have a lovely evening without the sun dropping into the sea in front of it. That distinction is more useful than the word sunset in a venue’s name.

As an editorial allowance, arrive roughly 45 minutes before the sunset time for your date if the light is the reason to go. This leaves time to find the entrance and settle in; it is not a reserved horizon or a fixed golden-hour timetable. Cloudy evenings can still suit a drink, but choose a venue you would enjoy without the photograph.

A beanbag on sand is good for leaning back with a drink, less useful for eating a whole dinner or helping a child with food. A firm-backed table near the restaurant is easier for a long conversation and a meal. At a pool venue, a lounger or cabana may have a spending condition separate from ordinary bar seating.

For a quieter coastal meal with drinks, On The Rock at Mango Bay is a different option from its Beach Bar. The resort says the Beach Bar operates seasonally from November to April. Do not plan a year-round beach-bar visit from a photograph of the restaurant terrace. Keep the actual venue entrance as the pickup point for the evening.

Our original drinks article follows sim wine, coffee and tropical fruit through the day. A cocktail can give those ingredients a different role. INK 360’s September 2026 operator article describes Kraken’s Deal with Phu Quoc black pepper, cinnamon, clove and cherry liqueur, and Mermaid Tear with wild sim berries. Those are specific flavour ideas to explore rather than a claim that every island cocktail contains local fruit.

Read whether the price includes tax and service, and whether the table has a separate minimum spend. A drink, a shared bottle and a reserved event area are not the same unit. We do not apply one universal happy hour to the island: the original’s afternoon-drinks mood is not evidence of every bar’s current promotion.

Look for a mocktail made around citrus, herbs or fruit, not only the option to remove the spirit from any recipe. Coconut water, juice and soda serve a different purpose from a carefully balanced non-alcoholic cocktail. In a mixed group, choose a bar whose food and alcohol-free menu make sense for everyone, rather than assuming the non-drinker will just have water.

A west-coast drink can lead into dinner nearby. A Sunset Town drink can accompany a waterfront evening. A town pub works after a meal in Dương Đông. Moving among all three in one night spends much of the evening in a car. Use the nightlife comparison for atmosphere and the restaurant directory when food is the main event.
