Vịnh Đầm: a working bay, Sela beach and a visitor enquiry

Vịnh Đầm has two faces that should not be flattened into one beach description. One is a working bay with cargo and port services. The other is the leisure story around Selavia and Sela beach, where TTC recorded the opening of SelaMoon in September 2023. Knowing which side your visit concerns makes the journey much clearer than following a general bay pin.

A meal or shore visit needs a current arrangement with the Sela receiving venue. Start through TTC Phu Quoc’s published corporate contact, asking for the visitor-facing team and entrance. This page is still an orientation note: the 2023 opening does not settle current admission, service hours or swimming arrangements.

A working-port address and a Sela leisure booking are different arrivals. Follow the entrance for the service you have arranged.

What this note covers

  1. Current visitor access unresolved

    Locality and receiving-point context

A meal or shore visit needs a current arrangement with the Sela receiving venue.

What it really feels like

The port and the leisure shore share a bay, not an entrance

The port matters to understanding Vịnh Đầm.

Trucks, goods and working vessels belong to its everyday purpose; they are not scenery arranged for a beach outing. Sela and the Selavia development introduce a different visitor context. A photograph of either side cannot explain the whole bay. Choose the named destination first. If you want a meal beside the shore, ask about SelaMoon specifically; if your trip concerns a vessel, the operator’s meeting instructions take priority over a general port or property address.

Make the drop-off part of the visit arrangement

Before setting out for an agreed leisure visit, get the guest entrance and the route from the drop-off to the receiving team. Keep the driver’s waiting or pickup point outside cargo operations. This is particularly useful when travelling with children, luggage or someone who needs a short walk: the bay name alone says nothing about the final distance. A confirmed receiving place makes a visit possible; driving into the first road that reaches the water does not make that road a public sightseeing route.

Use the booked boat’s terminal, not a harbour assumption

An island excursion, a cargo movement and a mainland ferry are different journeys. The presence of port infrastructure at Vịnh Đầm does not establish the departure of any one of them. Keep the operator’s named boarding point, arrival time and local contact together. If a confirmation uses only the bay name, resolve the receiving pier before arranging the car. This page does not advertise a scheduled passenger ferry from Vịnh Đầm, or a public walk across operational quays to reach another boat.

SelaMoon is a useful meal enquiry, not a dated offer to copy

TTC’s timeline records SelaMoon opening on 2 September 2023 for breakfast, à-la-carte meals, groups and events, alongside access to Sela beach. That provides a named visitor lead. For a meal now, give the receiving team the date, number of diners and whether you want a table only or shore facilities as well. Ask for the current menu, quote and inclusions together. The old free-entry announcement does not establish today’s offer, and the available evidence does not settle current swimming supervision or water-activity operations.

A southern bay stop should earn its place in the day

An agreed meal and shore visit can be the reason to drive to Vịnh Đầm. Without that arrangement, leave it as orientation rather than filling a spare hour between attractions. Hộ Quốc is a separate temple visit, while Sao and Khem serve different sandy-bay plans. If you combine one of them with a hosted Sela stop, choose the meal and road sequence first instead of assuming a continuous coast walk. Until current visitor terms and exact original reporting are available, this remains a limited bay note rather than a complete independent beach-day guide.

Southeastern bay, port and Selavia development setting

For a Sela enquiry, TTC Phu Quoc publishes 0297 3585 888 and info@ttcphuquoc.vn, with its corporate address at Tổ 11, khu phố Suối Lớn, Phu Quoc. Ask for the Sela visitor team, current receiving entrance and the vehicle waiting point. The corporate address is not a confirmed public beach-gate pin. A tour boat should instead supply its own exact boarding point.

FAQ

Questions about the locality and access

Is Vịnh Đầm only a cargo port?

No. Port operations and the Sela leisure setting are different parts of the bay’s story. Their access should not be treated as interchangeable.

Is Sela beach currently free to enter?

The free-entry wording belongs to the 2023 opening notice. Current admission and facilities are not established here; get the receiving venue’s present offer.

How can I ask about a SelaMoon meal?

Start through TTC Phu Quoc’s corporate phone 0297 3585 888 or info@ttcphuquoc.vn and request the visitor-facing team. Give the date, party size and meal or shore needs.

Does a Vịnh Đầm port pin tell me where to board my tour?

Only the booked operator can identify your boarding point. Keep its exact terminal or pier and meeting contact rather than using a general bay pin.

Can I count on a managed swimming area at Sela?

Not from the evidence available here. Arrange current water access and facilities with the receiving venue; an old opening notice does not assess today’s swimming conditions.

Should I add Vịnh Đầm to every southern sightseeing day?

No. Add it for a specific agreed meal or shore visit. A temple stop, a Sao/Khem beach afternoon and a bay meal are separate choices with their own road time.
