PHU QUOC FOOD AND DRINK

Where to Eat at Khem Beach: Seafood Lunches, French & Co. and Pink Pearl

Khem can give you two very different meals in the same bay: a relaxed lunch after time beside the sand, or a French dinner that becomes the reason for the evening. Between them sits the small pleasure of coffee and pastry. The curve of the beach holds these together visually, but each kitchen deserves its own name and its own place in the day.

Clubhouse at Premier Residences is a beachside meal option, published 10:00–23:00 with last order 22:30. At JW Marriott, Tempus Fugit has separate meal services, French & Co. is the bakery/café and Pink Pearl is the French dinner. Pick the outlet before arranging the restaurant entrance.

Reviewed:

A bay of several kitchens, not one beach restaurant

Khem’s dining map follows the curved shore and the properties around it. Premier Residences and JW Marriott are separate addresses, each containing more than one food outlet. A general Khem Beach pin can introduce the area but cannot tell the driver which dining entrance you need. Give the restaurant and property together, particularly if one person is coming from town while another has spent the morning on the beach.

Khem’s food choices fall between a beach meal, the café stop and a more formal dinner. French & Co. is the bakery and café inside JW Marriott. That name matters when looking at the right menu. You can enjoy a pastry and coffee there without assuming it is the same experience as the main dining room or the French restaurant.

For a beach day, choose whether the meal is a pause or the destination. A straightforward lunch leaves time to return to the shore; a long dinner asks for a different pace and clothing. The bay does not need to supply every part of the southern itinerary at once. One actual restaurant and enough time at its table can be a more satisfying choice than moving between several beautiful properties.

Match the restaurant to breakfast, pastry or a French evening

JW Marriott lists Tempus Fugit for breakfast 06:30–10:30, lunch 12:00–15:00 and dinner 18:00–22:00. French & Co. is listed 08:00–18:00. Pink Pearl’s French dinner is 18:00–22:00 with smart-casual dress. Those windows explain why a late-afternoon bakery stop and a dinner reservation belong to different outlets, even within one resort.

A breakfast service is useful when the group wants several familiar foods before the day begins. A café order can be smaller: choose the pastry, coffee or tea for its own pleasure. A French dinner is a food-led evening in which the menu sequence and service deserve attention. Decide which of those you want before comparing prices, because they are buying very different amounts of food and time.

The resort’s university-themed architecture is part of its designed story. Enjoy the theatrical rooms without turning the setting into an account of an old operating island university. For the diner, the useful part is still the restaurant: what you will eat, which service you have booked and whether the table suits the occasion. A setting can be memorable without needing an invented local history to justify the meal.

Clubhouse gives the beach lunch a named kitchen

At Premier Residences, Clubhouse publishes a food menu, drinks menu and children’s menu separately. Its current service is 10:00–23:00, last order 22:30. That gives a concrete kitchen for lunch or dinner, rather than asking a general beach address to produce a meal. Use the food menu for the main order, then choose drinks and a child’s portion as separate parts of the table.

A cooked seafood main, vegetables and rice can make a satisfying beach lunch without turning it into a large feast. If choosing several preparations, give them contrast: a simple steamed dish, a grilled plate and something with a lighter broth. These are order ideas, not a promise that every menu contains the same fish each day. The restaurant’s actual list is the starting point, and the way the kitchen prepares the ingredient is what you are choosing.

Khem is associated with gỏi cá trích in island food writing, but herring salad is a raw preparation with its own texture and ingredients. It is different from a steamed fish and should be chosen as the dish it is. A family wanting a cooked meal can enjoy other preparations just as fully. There is no need to make one raw specialty the compulsory centre of every beach lunch.

The Clubhouse menu linked in September 2026 gives actual Vietnamese dishes to compare: bún chả Hà Nội with grilled pork, cá bớp nướng nghệ with rice noodles, and cơm chiên ghẹ Hàm Ninh. The last names the dish’s crab association; it does not relocate the restaurant to Hàm Ninh. These are different ways to have a Vietnamese meal in a beach dining room: noodles and herbs, a fragrant fish preparation or a rice dish that is easier to eat without working through shells.

Use the dining entrance and keep the beach plan separate

For an outside restaurant visit, contact the actual dining team with the outlet, date and party size. A restaurant booking explains the meal; a pool day, lounger arrangement or other resort facility is a different service. If the group wants both, ask for the offer that includes both. This keeps the pleasant part of the day clear instead of discovering at the entrance that people have planned different kinds of visit.

Clothing is a practical part of switching from beach to dining room. Tempus Fugit’s published dress guidance excludes bathing suits; Pink Pearl specifies smart casual. For a day that begins on the sand, leave time to change before the reserved service. That makes the meal feel like a deliberate change of pace rather than an awkward interruption of the beach outing.

The same care helps with food requirements. A child’s menu and a plant-based meal are different requests; a food allergy needs its own clear ingredient conversation. Send a composed-menu requirement before the kitchen starts the sequence. At an ordinary lunch, a clearly chosen suitable dish is easier for everyone than trying to alter several shared dishes after they reach the table.

Khem lunch and a Sunset Town evening can be separate pleasures

Khem is a southeastern bay, not the west-facing Sunset Town waterfront. A beach lunch and a later show on the other side of the southern peninsula can make sense, but they need a real transfer between actual venues. Do not plan to finish a long dinner at one property at the same moment admission begins at the show. Choose the meal as part of the day rather than as a meal-sized gap between attractions.

For a quick everyday breakfast, An Thới’s working town gives a different food scene. For a view-led evening, Sunset Town has terraces and market-style stops. Stay with Khem when the bay, the particular kitchen or the French dinner is what you want. Its strength is having several distinct meals within one coastal setting, and letting each one be enjoyed without trying to combine them all.

If the bay is the main event, choose lunch around the beach time rather than rushing away to collect another famous restaurant. A café and pastry stop can fill a smaller pause, and the French dinner can be saved for an evening when everyone wants the slower service. Keeping those choices distinct also helps with family appetites: the person who only wants coffee does not need a full lunch, and the person ready for lunch should not be left with a pastry.

Questions and answers

Which kitchen suits a named beach lunch?

Clubhouse at Premier Residences publishes separate food, drinks and children’s menus; service is 10:00–23:00 with last order 22:30.

Where can I have coffee and pastries?

The current operator name is French & Co. at JW Marriott, listed 08:00–18:00. Use that name to find the right outlet.

When does Tempus Fugit serve meals?

The operator lists breakfast 06:30–10:30, lunch 12:00–15:00 and dinner 18:00–22:00. It is not one continuous buffet service through those gaps.

What is the French dinner option?

Pink Pearl at JW Marriott lists dinner 18:00–22:00 and smart-casual dress. It is a different occasion from a bakery stop or a simple beach lunch.

Does a restaurant booking include the pool?

Only a product explicitly including that facility does. Keep the meal, lounger or pool service clear when arranging a combined day.

Is Khem a substitute for Sunset Town’s sea-sunset dinner?

They are different coastal settings. Choose Khem for the bay and its actual kitchens; plan a transfer if the evening also includes a Sunset Town show.
