PHU QUOC STAYS
Khem is where we would slow the holiday down. Have breakfast without watching a tour pickup, spend time beside the bay and leave an afternoon pleasantly unfilled. The beach and resort are the reason to stay, rather than a backdrop for a room you leave every morning. That makes it a different choice from everyday An Thới and the show-led evenings of Sunset Town. The useful decision now is which room and property fit the people travelling with you, and how much of the resort you will actually use.
The Khem Beach accommodation area. The panorama shows the neighbourhood, not the rooms or facilities of a listed property.

Hotel
Choose Khem for a property-led beach stay. Compare a couple’s room, separate family bedrooms and a private-pool unit as different purchases, then include meals and any evening journeys. Premier Residences offers concrete room examples, but its current pool-work notice is material if the pool is the main reason for booking.
Khem rewards time at the property. A full excursion schedule may get more value from an An Thới or Sunset Town stay.
NEXT PATHS
Explore another option if this location or accommodation format does not fit your trip.

CHOICE 01
Sunset Town makes its strongest case after the afternoon light starts softening.

CHOICE 02
A sunset dinner should not need an expedition back to your hotel.

CHOICE 03
A beautiful Phu Quoc room can still be the wrong place for your holiday.
Our favourite reason to choose Khem is an unhurried resort day, not simply the promise of a better room photograph.
Breakfast, time by the water and an afternoon back in the grounds can be the whole plan. The bay is on the southeastern side of the island, so the setting differs from a west-coast sunset stay. If dinner walks and a wide choice of independent cafés are central to every evening, compare town-side Long Beach. Here we would choose fewer excursions and use the property properly.
At Premier Residences, the Standard King starts at 39 m², the Standard with Balcony is 45 m² and the two-bedroom apartment starts at 80 m².
The practical jump for a family is the sleeping separation, not just the extra floor area. A child can go to bed while others still use the living space. Private-pool categories are named separately. Use the accommodation-format guides for the detailed villa or apartment comparison, including kitchen equipment; the word apartment alone is not a promise of a complete self-catering setup.
A resort day includes several short journeys: room to breakfast, room to pool and room to sand.
With a stroller or a relative who tires easily, that route can matter more than the highest floor or widest view. Use the named property’s layout to choose a building and access arrangement that suits the group. An upper-floor outlook buys a different experience from being close to the grounds. Smaller hotels around Khem can suit an outing-led trip, but their location near the bay does not give them another resort’s pools or guest facilities.
Resort meals shape a Khem stay because you are buying time in the grounds.
Premier Residences names Mercato and Clubhouse among its dining options. A breakfast-inclusive room is one arrangement; a room-only rate with several restaurant meals is another. For families, compare the board basis for the actual adults and children rather than just the headline room figure. We would keep a Sunset Town dinner as a deliberate evening out, with a ride back, and let the other evenings remain easy at the property.
On 18 October 2026, Premier Residences still displayed its notice of slide dismantling from 23 September 2026, with pool zones 1–3 temporarily closed and zones 4–6 remaining open.
The notice gives no completion date. For a pool-focused family holiday, ask the resort which room areas and facilities will be affected on your dates before choosing a non-refundable rate. This update concerns Premier Residences; it does not describe the operation of neighbouring Khem resorts. Keep the pool choice separate from your expectations of the bay.
For a longer stay, we would alternate a southern excursion with a day at Khem, rather than turn every breakfast into the start of another transfer.
A Hòn Thơm or boat day has a clear place in that pattern; it does not need to be attached to the same evening’s show. On a shorter visit, one chosen excursion may leave a more satisfying beach holiday than a full checklist. Bring the booking back to the room, meals and facilities you will use. That is where the difference between a worthwhile resort and an expensive sleeping stop becomes obvious.
BEFORE BOOKING
Work through these checks before choosing, paying and arriving at the property.
Choose the neighbourhood, understand the room and plan your days on the island.
We would choose Khem for time in the grounds and beside the bay; Sunset Town for repeated evening walks and entertainment. Choose by the days you want, rather than treating nearby southern addresses as interchangeable.
The two-bedroom apartment, from 80 m², gives separate bedrooms and living space. Compare its bed arrangement and inclusions with the smaller Standard categories rather than assuming a larger room is always a two-bedroom unit.
No. Private-pool categories are separate purchases. A photograph of a villa or penthouse pool does not describe a Standard room.
The notice read on 18 October 2026 keeps zones 1–3 temporarily closed during slide and maintenance work, with zones 4–6 open. No completion date is supplied; ask about your travel dates if the pool determines the booking.
Yes. Sunset Town gives a different evening setting, but it is an outing with a journey back. Include that transport and the meals you will take at the property when comparing rates.
We would leave full resort days between the bigger outings on a longer trip. On a short stay, choose the southern experience you most want and leave time to enjoy the place you paid to stay in.
