PHU QUOC STAYS
Some Long Beach evenings begin with a walk out for dinner; others never leave the resort. Both are good reasons to stay here, but they belong to different stretches of Bãi Trường. The familiar Trần Hưng Đạo–Cửa Lấp strip puts independent food and sunset stops into the day. Farther south, the grounds and restaurants of larger resorts increasingly become the destination.

Choose the established town-side strip for a short mixed trip, independent dinners and outings in both directions. Choose southern Long Beach when you want more time inside a larger resort. At Cửa Lấp, Salinda offers a useful room comparison: garden and sea-view Deluxe rooms both have 43 m²; the view changes more than the floor area.
Long Beach convenience depends on the stretch and the lane, not simply the beach name in the address.
NEXT PATHS
Explore another option if this location or accommodation format does not fit your trip.

CHOICE 01
In Dương Đông, the island is already awake when you step out for coffee.

CHOICE 02
A sunset dinner should not need an expedition back to your hotel.

CHOICE 03
A beautiful Phu Quoc room can still be the wrong place for your holiday.
Come back from an island outing, put the bags down and there is still an evening left: a sunset stop, dinner and perhaps another café.
That flexibility is Long Beach’s strongest argument. The established strip has simple rooms alongside larger hotels, so you can choose the part of the budget that goes into the bed and the part that goes into the island. It is a developed visitor area, with busy roads and lively pockets in high season. Choose it for that freedom, rather than expecting an empty tropical coastline.
The Trần Hưng Đạo–Cửa Lấp corridor has the established restaurant-and-hotel mix.
Continue south past the Sunset Sanato area toward InterContinental and Regent and the larger resort becomes a bigger part of the stay. A map label covering Long Beach hides that change. If independent dinners matter, look at the guest gate and nearby streets; a beachfront room can still be set well back inside its grounds. If the plan is a long breakfast, pool and beach, those grounds may be exactly what you want.
Salinda in Cửa Lấp lists Deluxe Garden View and Deluxe Sea View at 43 m², with king or twin arrangements.
Its Garden Villa is 65 m² with a terrace, while the Suite Sea View Hotel is 87 m² with a living and dining area and kitchenette. These are useful differences: a couple wanting a balcony view may not need a villa; someone spending longer in the room may value separate living space. Sea view describes the outlook, not a door opening directly onto sand.
Our Cửa Lấp reporting follows food as well as the shoreline: steamed crab, grilled pen-shell muscle and foil-baked fish belong to its seafood context.
The pleasure of a central stay is being able to go looking for a meal rather than deciding the whole day in advance. A sunset venue farther south is still a separate outing. Stay near the dinners you expect to repeat; make the occasional special stop a trip out. That keeps the coast from turning every meal into transport.
Bãi Trường changes along its length and through the seasons.
Fishing activity, uneven access and developed stretches sit alongside attractive sand and sunset. On the west coast, exposed water can be rougher during the southwest monsoon. If sea swimming is the main reason for booking, the pool and usable grounds matter too. A beach photograph shows a moment; it cannot tell you how the water will feel throughout your stay. We would choose a place we could still enjoy on a windy afternoon.
For three or four nights of mixed outings, the central strip earns its place through meals, easy returns and a middle position on the west coast.
For slower days, a southern resort may offer more of what you will actually use. Compare the exact room, breakfast for the whole party and repeated journeys, rather than the nightly room price alone. The higher room rate is not automatically worse value, and the lower one is not a bargain if you spend every evening travelling back to it.
BEFORE BOOKING
Work through these checks before choosing, paying and arriving at the property.
Choose the neighbourhood, understand the room and plan your days on the island.
Begin around the established Trần Hưng Đạo–Cửa Lấp strip near Dương Đông. Look at the actual lane and guest entrance; southern resort addresses do not have the same concentration of independent places immediately outside.
No. It is a long coastal corridor with different streets, beach approaches and resort grounds. Pick a stretch for your evenings and use transport between distant parts.
Its published Deluxe Garden View and Deluxe Sea View are both 43 m². The 65 m² Garden Villa and 87 m² sea-view suite are different formats, so compare the category rather than assuming every upgrade adds floor space.
No. A balcony may face the water from an upper floor. Beachfront identifies the property’s position, while direct beach access describes the route from your particular room.
It can still work well for food and exploring, especially with a pool and comfortable indoor space. We would avoid making daily sea swimming the only reason to book the west coast during unsettled weather.
A room near the central strip’s restaurants can reduce daily transport needs. Wider island trips still need a car, tour pickup or other transport; choose the lane for your ordinary evenings rather than treating all Long Beach addresses alike.
